Dear Parents/Guardians of Kaler Students:

As a certified professional educator, I assist students, teachers, parents and administrators in the following ways: Counseling---either individual or small group; Consultation and classroom guidance. I also collaborate with the school social worker, nurse and special education staff and serve as a liaison between the school and community agencies.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Southern Maine and am certified as a K-12 counselor. I am also a Conditional Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the State of Maine. Prior to my work at Kaler, I was the counselor at Skillin Elementary and at Songo Locks Elementary in S.A.D. #61.

The service I provide is in line with our comprehensive, developmental K-12 curriculum. Programs are designed to help all students develop their educational, personal and social strengths in order to become responsible, productive citizens. I provide a safe, confidential and encouraging environment for children to express and work through their difficulties so they can reach their full potential in the classroom..
