Dear Parents and Guardians:
At last April is here. Perhaps it will stop snowing and allow the snow banks to melt away, letting crocuses and daffodils to emerge. It has been a long winter and it is time to let the sunshine in.
The Kaler Book Fair and Community Dinner was a great success. Thank you for coming out and supporting our school. Our PTA did a marvelous job hosting our Community Dinner. A special thanks to Rhoda Conley, the chef of the evening, who donated all of the food and her time.
Kindergarten Registration
If you have an incoming kindergartener for next year, please call Fran Peterson and set up a time to fill out the registration packet. If you know of an incoming family, please tell them to call.
Redistricting Transition Plans
I mentioned in my last letter that I would keep you posted with transitions plans. When the elementary principals met recently, we developed a schedule of activities to help with the transition.
- Each elementary school will be hosting a lunch for students that are leaving their current home school. At that luncheon, they will meet the new principal and perhaps the new guidance counselor of their new home school.
- Each elementary school will also be hosting a visit during lunch/recess time for the incoming students to tour the new school, meet some students, enjoy the fine cuisine and playground. I will be asking grade level teachers to suggest ambassadors for the visit.
